I give Dr.Hourani 5 stars. He is an excellent doctor and has a great report with me. He always hears me out and listens to my needs. I see him 6-7 times of the week. Dr. Volpicelli and Dr.Deutch has been a wonderful doctor and also would give him 5 stars. I would thank Ruth from the night time Pam LVN, Martha LVN. Shannon CNA night, Shadonna CNA, Nelson CNA,. From rehab thank you to Scott, Helen, Kevin, Johanna, Eternity, always listen to what you say and are very good.
Kindred hospital has been wonderful for my sick mother and our entire family. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Dr. Hourani has been fantastic to us. He is very attentive and really cares. Also, Jocelyn, the care director is very sweet and hands on. In addition, the staff nurses have been wonderful. Thank you Kindred Hospital for taking great care of my Mother and helping our entire family through this challenging time.

My husband had a massive hemorrhagic stroke, it’s a miracle he survived but had to also overcome brain surgery, pneumonia, respiratory failure, a tracheotomy due to extended intubation and G Tube (feeding) …
We came to Kindred Hospital in Los Angeles after 2 1/2 weeks in ICU. My husband wasn’t breathing on his own, couldn’t eat, couldn’t move. I met with the team on day 2 and told them who/how my husband is- ACTIVE! A young and healthy 72, not an old man.
They treated him that way, as someone who was going to recover and sooner than later. After 3 weeks they had him capped and a week later the trach came out. The last 2 weeks he is eating solid foods.
His respiratory doctor, Dr. Hourani was great. The lead therapists, RT- Vladi, OT- Helen, PT- Scott, Speech- Lea were caring and focused on helping Peter get to the next step, acute rehab (which we’re on our way to.)
The nurses and the rest of the rehab team are all wonderful, kind and patient.

Everyone has a thick accent can’t understand them . Been on hold at nurses station for an hour !!!!!! Very hard to get updates on your loved one . Today me and my brother confirmed from nurse it was ok to visit my dying mother. After an hour and a half drive , they turned my brother down for visiting ….they said she’s got a breathing mask on and can’t talk anyways ….. Customer service there sucks. The hospital is basically a mouse maze and they just point and say turn right and turn left. Going for help at a nurses station , the ladies just talk while you’re waiting to ask a question …. My mom even said after an insidant , the help button , no one come for hours. IDE give no stars , my mom is dying and this hospital just don’t give a care
Dr. Hourani is a very caring doctor. I think he is a loving Doctor and communicates very well. He has the heart for what he does. My loved on has came in in a ventilator and is now off the ventilator. She is now breathing on her own. We give all thanks to the Doctors and the Respiratory Team. We are truly grateful for the outcome and our loved one is getting better with time. We are so appreciative.
